Purchasing Manager.

My client is a beautiful Premium Lighting and Furniture manufacturer based in the South West. I am looking for an organised and adaptable Purchasing Manager to join their positive and hard-working team.
THE ROLE
The successful candidate will be working as part of the purchasing team (reporting to the Merchandise Director), primarily managing the reordering and timely supply of goods and materials from our existing supply base. They will also be required to have strong communication skills, liaising with all areas of our business from shop floor to sales.
The Purchasing Manager has a pivotal relationship within the business to take full responsibility for purchasing and focus on maximizing the benefits of the demand-driven production model. Managing a large product range with long lead times and a very changeable sales pattern are all significant challenges which need to be balanced daily. There is regular liaison with our Production Planning Team, Technical, QC teams, Sales and Finance Teams.
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken)
- Understanding of components, materials and manufacturing
- Strong organisation skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work at a pace
